Golf updates
Format call Best three monthly results will decide the first Mini Major champion. Best two months stays available as a sprint-style side award.
Planning Four different courses are being reserved for September, October, November, and December. Course names can go public once locked. Tee times stay private.
Cards Lock-in and mulligan cards are ready to print for each monthly round. Players declare the lock-in hole before teeing off.

Why not raw total?

Raw totals are clean, but one disaster round can decide the season too early. Best three keeps all four months meaningful and gives everyone one drop score.

Why not best two?

Best two is exciting, but it can make the other two months feel optional. Use it as a side award for the hottest two-round run.

Closest golf logic

Proper golf events usually use total strokes across all rounds. A social series is better as a points race, like a season-long tour leaderboard.

Rules

Round Card

Stableford holes

Double bogey or worse scores 0. Bogey 1, par 2, birdie 3, eagle 4, hole in one 5.

Lock-in hole

One chosen hole per player. Declare it before teeing off. Points on that hole are doubled.

Mulligans

One front-nine mulligan and one back-nine mulligan. They cannot be used on a lock-in hole.

Ties

Break ties by lowest gross strokes, then most birdies and pars, then monthly countback.
